SportsAid (nationally) is proud to announce that 48% of the athletes selected to represent Team GB at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games have received financial support and recognition from the charity during their careers! That’s 25 of the 52 members of Team GB who were previously provided with SportsAid awards – this includes travelling reserves. Nine of these athletes will be making their Winter Olympic debuts, including short track speed skater Niall Treacy, 21, a current recipient of the charity’s support.

The PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics saw SportsAid alumni return a total of three medals – all in skeleton – as Lizzy Yarnold and Laura Deas won gold and bronze respectively in the women’s event, and Dom Parsons claimed bronze in the men’s event.
