My Story
I started playing properly when I was 13 in the men’s teams at my local club which is Letchworth Hockey Club. By the end of my first season I had moved up the teams and was in the Men’s 1st team and been selected for Hertfordshire County U14s. The following year I stayed in the team at letchworth and was selected for Northwood PC U15s. At the end of this year, I attended the England U16 open trials but did not make it past the first stage. Carrying on at Letchworth, I was taken to U17s at Northwood PC and was selected to represent the Saxon Tigers U17s in the 2021 futures cup. From this tournament I was selected to trial for England U18s and made it through to the final squad. At a similar time I moved clubs to Cambridge City to play at a higher standard and push myself against better players.
I then made my England debut against Ulster in February of 2022. I was then part of the team the whole cycle and was fortunate enough to captain them towards the end of the cycle and at the 8 nations tournament in Germany.
I have recently be re-selected within the programme and am now in my 2nd year of the England U18 programme.
At a similar time I was awarded the Hockey Writers Club UK Mens Youth Hockey Award for 2022 season.
I have now finished two seasons with Cambridge City 1st team and am looking ahead to university next year alongside an exciting programme with England U18s.
