My Story
16-year-old Tyler, selected to represent Great Britain at his third World event, registered a qualification score of 101.190 which included a particularly impressive first round routine in the 15-16 men’s category.
Progressing in to the final 8 with gymnasts from nations including Japan, Russia and USA Cole-Dyer improved on his second round score registering 55.885 and finishing in 3rd place, narrowly behind Taiga Akaishi (JPN) who scored 55.965 and eventual winner Gabriel Albuquerque from Portugal who secured gold with 57.955.
This latest World medal adds to a list of remarkable achievements for Tyler, who has been a member of Northamptonshire Trampoline Gymnastics Academy since 2013 and made his Great Britain debut aged 11. Already a three-time British Champion Tyler now boasts no less than 5 junior World medals, achieved across three championships in three separate age groups.
